To Buy or Not to Buy That is the question...

Hello All,
I have been lurking on this forum for some time now but really haven't posted much. I have been wanting a Jet boat for a really long time and figured since it is another major purpose in life I should do all of my research to make sure its the boat for me and my wife.

Now the question is, its middle of December here in miserable IL. But I have been working with a local dealer and they have a really good deal on a new 2011 Challenger 180SE. My question to you all is do I buy it now even though odds are it will sit in the garage for 5 more months before it sees the water or wait until Feb/March and gamble that there is a better deal? Thanks in advance all!

The boat probably isn't going to get any cheaper than it is right now. The closer to spring the more the price, just the simple principle of supply and demand. Also you're taking the chance someone else will buy the 2011 and I'm sure the 2012 is more.

Thanks guys!! Yeah I figured as much but just wanted the "But honey the guys on the forum that know this stuff told me I had to!"

BUY IT, BRING IT DOWN HERE, florida is nice this time of year, ill run it for u till spring, also , will send u a picture every now and then

Yep as said..usually it wont get cheaper. A few years ago you could find boats that were 2 to 3 years old but still brand new. Dealers would cut really awesome deals to unload them. When the economy went to crap, i think a lot of dealers started buying less boats to keep in stock. Now it is very hard to find those old left overs in stock. IF you can get a decent deal on a 2011, i would jump on it. Once they sell the 2011 models and the 2012's start rolling in, you wont get any good deals.
