Snapped this picture while out today. A house on a barge.....on a barge.

A double barge house? House barge²? I don't know....

Post what oddities you've seen.

I assume that the house is being moved to a new location somewhere that's easier to get to by barge than a truck.

While testing a boat near the Erie Islands (Port Clinton / Marble Head area) we saw an item on radar during night trials. Ended up being three deer swimming.

One was looking pretty bad so we pulled along side and grabbed her neck and took them to the shore the were headed to.

Next day during the day when we were doing speed trials we saw three deer coming back the other way. This time two of them looked like they were all but done. So grabbed their necks and took them to the shore again...

I posted this a couple of years ago.

New sign:
Caution: Deer Swimming crossing area.

I thought that at one point but then I saw the house was built on a barge. Curious why they didn't just push the house itself instead of loading the barge house onto another barge.

You think the DOT will put deer crossing signs in the water? :-P

My bet....

There is a difference between floating in a sheltered cove/creek/back water...and being sea worthy.

Not sea doo related, but I used to work on heavy equipment. I worked on these specially made boats that would scoop trash out of the Baltimore Inner Harbor . The guys that operate them said they have scooped up a few dead bodies in the past.
