Hello all,
I am being pleaged by a problem that I can't figure out. I have got a '03 GTX supercharged that had a supercharger bearing failure. I have replaced the oil pumps and main and rod bearings. The problem that I am having is the oil is not returing back to the sump. I don't know if the front oil pump is not working right and not draining the pto housing, or if too much oil is collecting under the pistons. If I run it in the water for about 5 to 10 minutes it starts to loose oil pressure. I have taken the motor back out and taken it apart again to look for the problem, but I can't see anything wrong. I have checked all of the oil ports to see if they are clear. I drained the oil when I pulled the engine and I got the same amout of oil that I put in. It just does not show up on the dipstick. If I let it set for a day or two, the oil comes back up on the dipstick, but not if you check after running like you are suppose to do. Now I have pulled the valve cover off after it ran and looked in the pto housing to see the oil level up to the supercharger shaft.
Does anyone have any idea what might be happening here? I could sure use some help.
