Hello All!
Just wanted to say things to all the members of this forum that provide great advice and information for us new to the Seadoo world. Recently I purchased a 1996 Seadoo Challenger here in Florida from the second owner. At first glance everything appeared to be fine and the water ride prior to buying went great. Then we insert Murphy's Law. With little knowledge about these boats I wasn't aware my throttle blade was stuck in the WOT position (first lauch at the ramp was interesting), the F/N/R hose had split giving me only F and N, a blown exhaust fan fuse, and naturally a dead battery after a week of ownership. With the help of the search box and great write ups, she's now running flawlessly for minimum cost in repairs. Granted, mechanical knowledge combined with doing the work myself saved quite a bit. Although, cost could have easily sky rocketed had I visited a locale dealer for repairs. This boat is as much fun on the water as driving my cammed 2010 Camaro SS on the street. I look forward to adding Hydro Turf, a Stero systems, bimini top, and redoing the upholstery in Blue/Silver (Go Cowboys). Hope to see you on the water!
