Hi Guys,
As you know... I always recommend Poppy covers over any other brand here. AND... that Terri will always take care of forum members with great customer service, and the occasional discount.
Well... I'm here to say... she once again exceeded my expectations, and bent over backward to help me.
Yesterday, I was tinkering with the Islandia. (in preparation of a Vacation to Deep Creek MD) And, I found an isue with the reverse cable. Even though, it was working smooth... there was a slight bind going into forward. After my investigation, I found that the secondary shive/housing on the pump end had come out, and there was a kink in the cable. Also, I found water in the cable because of it.
After finding it... my fears were that the cable would give me problems while on vacation, and that there was NO WAY that I would be able to find an Islandia reverse cable in time to have the boat ready for Friday morning. Needless to say, my little girl wasn't happy when I told her that "Boatie" may not come with us.
So... just for giggles, I jumped on ebay to see what I could find. (mind you, this was at 6:30 PM EST) After getting the part number for the cable... a couple actually came up. AND.... one was from Poppy. I'm not sure why she was selling a few Islandia parts... but I quickly asked if she could overnight the cable to me. Within an hour, Terri had killed the ebay add, and found me a shipping price, and by 8:30 PM I had a tracking number !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh.... and, even paying the $37 for the overnight shipping... my total price was still less than the retail on the part !!!
So once again, Terri saved the day. :cheers:
So guys... if you are thinking of getting a cover for your ski, or boat... Give Terri at Poppy Covers a yell. Her covers are the best on the market... she has some of the best pricing... and she will take care of customers as best as she can.
As a final note... yes... the Islandia has a Poppy cover, and she got it to me in about 3 days. (at a great price)
