So I was wondering if this would be worth doing, I just purchased a 2000 gti 717 for $500 with a trailer, it's in need of a motor overhaul due to sitting. I was just going to pull the motor and do the SBT thing, but then I ran across a 1997 gtx with a 782 that hit a rock in the front and messed the hull up and I can grab this one for about 500 with a trailer also, It has low hours and the motor runs great, now would it be worth doing a motor swap and would it be as easy as just swapping motors only or is there a lot more involved?

Hi and welcome to the SeaDoo forum.

It won't work or at least not without a lot of work, motor mounts are different, you would have to do fiberglass work to make the motor mounts work. You would also need to change out the wiring harness, mpem.
