supercharger or no supercharger

I was wondering what was better for average rider. I do own two seadoo's 2 stokes, but wanted to know what's a better seadoo. A seadoo 4 Tec with or without a supercharger?

Well I have a 05 Seadoo GTX LTD I purchased in October, and with all the horror stories with superchargers, I wanted to know if it was better to sell this and buy one without supercharger? To save on the hassels. I don't race skis, but I like to jump some waves once in awhile.

Yea I rode it a few times, super fast and I know you're be asking if the washers were replaced and yes they were.

Okay....for me....personal opinion here...

I liken the "fun factor" on a 215 vs a 155 to say....a muscle car to a sedan. Yeah you can still have fun in a sedan...but the on demand power at almost the entire rpm range...nah...not even a fair comparison.

I consider the sc maintenance issue an every 2-3 year thing(now...with updated rebuild kit). Just the extra price I'm willing to pay for my fun.

4-tech engine is a very reliable engine. And I LOVE my SC ski. Worth every penny of the extra cost in my opinion.

Definitely keep it. I'll take the "hassle" of the SC maintenance all day for the increase in performance. Nothing wrong with the 155 engine, just not enough for me.

I just wish they didn't rip your off on supercharger rebuild kits.

How is that a rip off? You can't get a rebuild kit for a SC on your vehicle for twice that!

Look at what you get, it such a mark up, compared to what it cost to make those parts.

Sselzer, I had a '95 XP, so I understand what you like about the 96 SPX. I have two '02 GTX 4-tecs w/ out the SC, and I love them. I can imagine what a rush the SC skis are, but I'm very pleased with the 155 HP skis. You'll really need to try both out.

I have two gtx's supercharged, no problems with the superchargers 10 years,Electronic issue's yes

I agree with red2blue. With the newer heavy duty SC replacement, It's 200 hours. And I am thinking it will be more than 3 yrs before rebuild/replacement if not more.
