Supercharger checks. I read somewhere here that you can check supercharger by spinning the impeller to see if there is slight resistance like that you cannot spin with one finger? Also you can squeeze the hose going to intake? can anyone recommend which method can give me peace of mind? Its a 2011 GTX 100 hours.

Thanks in advance

The best method for peace of mind is to remove it and have it rebuilt every 200 hrs or 4 years.

Checking for free spin on the impeller is fine. You could also do a slip check using a torque wrench on the left handed impeller nut with a stick in the impeller to keep it from rotating. If it's never been rebuilt, it's long overdue. Your plastic spacers in your bearings should be failing at any time now due to age. Tick, tick, tick, tick.

The test for Supercharger slip is you need a torque wrench that is for both directions and in inch lbs. While still in the engine test by turning the nut counter clockwise , you should be between 71 lbf.in and 106 lbf.in for slip on a broken in supercharger. But yes at the age of your machine , it's due for an overhaul.
