I have a 2003 Seadoo jetski and just spent $1200.00 having impeller replaced. Took a ride ran great. Pulled up to the house and it killed. Could not get it to strart. I then began to paddle to the boat slip and noticed a abundance of string getting wrapped around the paddle I was using. It appears that I sucked up a trot line of some sort. Heavy gauge string. Not knowing a whole lot about these animals. I guess I need to pull it out of the water. What will I be up against?

I find it easier to remove jet pump to get rope out, gives you heeps of room to work and it's only 4 nuts and a couple of cables.
Someone else recommended removing pto cover and spark plugs and turning engine in reverse to remove rope.

No, not that i know of. I think it's a 17mm spanner to remove nuts, and a 10mm to do the cables, the pump will be siliconed on as well so might take some force or levering to remove the first time.
Thats only to remove the impeller from the pump, the whole lot comes of as one piece and just leaves the drive shaft behind.

$1200 for impeller swap Dam you got taken, I change out impellers at the boat ramp in under a hour, Impeller tools run an average of $25
