Hey everyone, I finally got the boat back last week after the work done. They got a replacement head, full service and new gaskets, bolts, etc. Also had the supercharger rebuilt while it was in the shop. Was hoping that all of that would have somehow fixed this odd knock sound coming from the boat, but it didn't. I don't believe it is coming from the engine itself or the supercharger as it's very intermittent. You can be in F/N/R at dead idle and you may hear it every minute or so. It's much less frequent while underway at any rpm. Doesn't seem to matter if it's cruising or flying, you may hear it every 5 to 10 minutes and then maybe twice in a minute and then nothing for 15 or 20 minutes. It's very odd. It "sounds" like it is something to do with the impeller or drive shaft to me. If it were engine related, I would think it would be much more regular. The performance seems fine, was at 44mph GPS yesterday with the bimini up and for people in the boat. Hole shot is great, especially after the supercharger rebuilt, no cavitation and running around 7200 RPM's max. Does all that sound about right, does anyone have any ideas or thoughts as to what to check? Impeller and wear ring look fine, and dealer inspected too and said everything looked good. I could try to take a video, but not sure you'd hear it over the engine or wind noise. Thanks for any help.
