well i replaced all the fuel line and cleaned the filters in the carb and the inline. i didnt think it would fix it. i only found a few small pieces in the carb filters. i figure its good preventive.

again it is a 98 gsx ltd that is cutting out under a load. idle is just fine.

The fuel selector valve? What about switching it to Reserve and seeing if the cutting out pattern changes?

Check valves to the vent at the top of the tank or at the hull waterline should operate only in one direction. Blow in one side and it flows, blow the other way and it should stop.

If either the fuel selector valve or the vent check valves are clogged, then you would continue to have problems even with the rest of the system rebuilt.
