Hi everyone, I’m having problems with my steering assist. When I turn hard to the left when the boat is stationary the Boat accelerates really fast left. When I turn hard to the right nothing happens unless I push the button on the consol that’s orange colored.
My problem is this the accerating really fast makes it very difficult when I’m trying to load the boat on the trailer. So either I need to adjust this or disconnect. Can anyone please tell me what to do if u have experienced this problem. And if anyone has picture of what to do that would be great.
Thank uou

Lift the storage hood by the steering wheel, remove the storage bin. You'll see cables attached to the steering helm. You'll need to adjust that to get them working properly. The procedure is in the manual pretty straight forward. Not sure what orange button you're talking about other than the start buttons for the engines.

So I found cables, I disconnected the one that is extremely tight when I turn steering completly left. I don’t see anyway to adjust the tension becuase it so tight. Does anyone know where the other end of these cables are? Is it connected by the throttle handles or do they go all the way to engine? My guess is wherever the other end is I’m going to need to adjust from there. I don’t have manual to look at so that makes it harder.

The orange button I’m talking about is right under the horn button on the right side of steering wheel.

There should be adjustment further down the cable....would likely need to peel back the rubber cover over it, then should be able to adjust. Service manual should explain how.
