Hey everyone I hope I’m posting this in the correct spot as this is my first post! I have a 95 sportster with the 657x engine I recently lost spark and the stator had failed I removed stator and installed in one, I marked the old one and have the new one pretty bang on I’d say but when I go to start it and it fires it stops the engine and then will start cranking again (I hope that makes sence lol) I have tried adjusting it pretty much in every spot I am out of ideas

Did you buy a new aftermarket part or a used oem part? If oem there should be a stamp marked on the stator and another on the engine block to line up.
