Hello,

We are out in the middle of no where on the Columbia River and my ski ran perfectly all day yesterday, now this morning i hit the starter switch and I get this whirrring noise but no fire, like the starter is spinning ??? It says low 12V on the gage??? any ideas

starter problems...HELP

i had this problem before with a GEO METRO ..

i would tap the starter with a hammer and then the PIG would start

anyone ever tapped a starter with a hammer ????? sh**, we drove 500 miles to get here and I wanna SKI................

????????

HELP

does tapping the starter possibly get the bendix to engage or "pop out":stupid:?????

so, instead of staring at this thing all day, if the bendix is bad in the starter, should i just plan on replacing starter and spending rest of weekend floating on a lifejacket SOB SOB

geo metro, seadoo...same thing....

if its whirrling, than it has power, just not "pop'n" the bendix out. Pull plugs, see if pistons are mov'n when hit'n button. Quite possible you have no compression...:(
