So I got in on a group buy for some Seadek for our 210SE. The kit came, but there were some issues with the old factory carpet snap holes not being covered.

Quick phone call and it turns out pattern was pulled from an "S" model and not an "SE" with the difference being the factory carpet being optional vs standard. So when the pattern was pulled, there were not snap holes to worry about. We made some adjustments and they sent me the new templates.

So today I test fit the cockpit templates that arrived this week and installed about half of the other pieces that fit fine.

I should have the new pieces this week. I believe there are 17 of them. I'll post pics when the're installed, but here's what I've done so far.

Also, well worth the money.

WOW - that looks incredible! Do you think the Sea Deck is worth the extra cash over the Hydra mat? That looks great, I am in Jacksonville I see you are in ORlando. Who works on your boat down there?

That looks awesome!!!

Couple questions:
1. Do the transom seats still function as they should with the new decking on the engine hatch where the seats fold out?

2. Did you buy enough for the whole boat?

3. How was it to remove the old deck on the rear hatch?

4. Can I ask what you paid? I'm very interested in getting some, not sure I want to do the entire boat but exactly what you have photos of now is what I'm would like to do.

I think the hydroturf is nice for those who just want some inexpensive traction mats, but I think the Seadek is way nicer and worth every penny of the cost.

As for who works on my boat, that would be me, but if I were to take it to a dealer, I would try Southeast Marine as they're a Seadoo dealer in addition to BRP service provider.

I have not tried them yet, but don't see why they wouldn't as there was some traction mat there from the factory. It was thinner than the Seadek, but I doubt the extra 3/8" of height will effect the seats at all.

2. Did you buy enough for the whole boat?
I purchased a full kit. There were some fitment issues that needed to be worked out. I'm still waiting on 7 more pieces for the transom and another 9 for the cockpit and bow flooring.

3. How was it to remove the old deck on the rear hatch?
Fairly simple. Mats came off in one piece with some tugging. I watched a Seadek removal video on Youtube to see how it's done.

4. Can I ask what you paid? I'm very interested in getting some, not sure I want to do the entire boat but exactly what you have photos of now is what I'm would like to do.

Being that it was a group buy, I got 30% off. I paid $860. When I called Seadek directly (the're fairly local), they quoted me $1256 for the same kit.

Thanks for answering my questions, price doesn't seem too bad considering all the decking. I did see that video on removing the old decking, must have been fairly accurate then. I will have to give seadeck a call, they look so damn good! Ours are getting a little aged and need to be replaced. Nice work, let's see some photos when it's totally done!!

Does Seadeck make a complete kit for a Challenger 180, I can only see the back part. One thing I could do is sea deck in the back and Hydro turf on the inside? I wonder how that would look?

Give Seadek a call. I'm sure they make a full kit. You can always pull a pattern for your cockpit if they don't have one created yet.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder in regards to your hydroturf in the cockpit and seadek on the transom. I know I wouldn't like it, but not sure how others would feel.

JPass, is there any way to get in on that group buy on Sea Deck. No worries if not, I think I agree with you, do the entire boat in Sea Deck. OK thanks!

I installed Hydro Turf on my SeaDoo 180 and have to admit that SeaDek looks great. Are they a Florida company? I think I spoke with the owner of SeaDek a few years back at the St Pete, Fl boat show. I would have gone with SeaDek but I had just installed Hydro Turf in my boat.

Jpass, I went out the other day and test fit my kit. Was kinda shocked when it did not cover the snaps. I just sent an email to jetboatpilot about it and came here to send you a message about your kit, and found this post. Hopefully the update will fit better, and I get the same great treatment you did.

I made adjustments to the original pieces, then they sent me back mylar patterns that were adjusted according to my measurements. I test fitted those. I had to make 1 more adjustment. They re-sent the pattern and everything was perfect. Had to wait a little bit longer than I wanted due to the holidays, but I understand. Kit came Wednesday.

Both of the guys from JBP were great to work with.

Boat is currently sitting in the sun warming up and I should be installing the kit in another hour or 2. I'll post pics as soon as I am done.

OK Here it is. There's a couple of joints I'm not thrilled with, but overall I think it turned out great.

Do you happen to know what part numbers you ordered? I am mainly looking for all the pads on the swim platform. I have emailed Seadek and they were not totally sure on what ones I needed. Thanks!

That looks great! I went with the hydro turf but if I had the money I would definitely do this. Congrats on the great look!
