Anyone know how to lube or grease a steering wheel on a 2007 180 Challenger SE. Mine has been squeaking ,aggravating but not crucial. Thanks

I tried shooting some silicone spray in where the steering wheel shaft goes into that black plastic housing. I won't know if it worked until this weekend, as it squeaked when in the water, but not on the trailer when I got home.

My 2012 Wake 155 steering squeaks and the dealer said they do not know of a fix but they did not recommend spraying anything in the steering column due to the area collecting dirt and debris if sprayed. Anyone else have a solution?

Mine has squeaked from the get-go. My dealer told me there was no grease zerks, and no factory fix, over the past couple years,..... I've sorta forgot about it.

Looks like there are a couple advantages to being an old guy.,...

1. You forget easily

2. You can't hear as good.

BTW, I don't believe pure silicone spray attracts dirt and dust like WD-40 or chain lube products...I may give mine a couple shots of silicone spray on the steering column when I go out on Thursday...(if I remember by then)

Happy boating

I went ahead and sprayed some silicone-based lubricant like I mentioned in a previous post. And then I completely forgot about it until this reply. The squeak went away and I've had no issues. I won't comment on what the dealer said other than to suggest it's either complete nonsense or laziness on their part.
