Here’s a few picks. I have not pulled the shaft yet. What do you think? Should I replace the whole thing?

I honestly say no. They can rebuild it $200+ cheaper per charger and you have the QC of someone checking the slip vs what you would get on a mass production assembly line. I had the same rear touchdown on one which I didn’t even know about and the other was in the front like my pic. PWC may even throw a housing in. Send the email to pwc muscle with pics and give them a call.

For reference... Nothing left the bearing assy. Luckily for me and it appears you, no compressor wheel touchdown. 2nd pic though was from the pounding the shaft raceway took from when the plastic fingers sheared off and allowed the bearings to loose proper spacing. This results in the play you are noting. The SC needs to be rebuilt. Again, if they are all there, you lucked out like I did.
Hi, I’ve open the casing and now I’m trying to remove the impeller compressor. I looks like it’s stuck. Any tricks? You will also noticed that there´s some grinding on impeller.

So you did have touchdown.

If I were you, I would take the advice and ship it off to be repaired.

Also, if you have a good shop vac, unhook both air hoses on the Intercooler and attach the vacuum to the hose that came from the SC.

This will hopefully pull as much of that metal from the IC. You can also check the other hose to see how much came through.

Hi, have you guys ever heard of the 200hrs kit? Is it really 200hrs. I got a guy selling one with the 200hrs kit for $500 and he said it’s at 90hrs. Any thoughts on this? Thanks

Ok, now I need advise, I got a guy who has a used supercharged 260hp for sale for $500. Sounds like a good deal. He says that it has 90hrs on it and he put a kit in that has up to 400hrs and it was purchased at the seadoo dealer. if i want to put it in. Do I need to upgrade something else or I can just hook it up and go.

Why does he have a used SC? I would take a pass on it and just send yours to be rebuilt from a reputable service like the one mentioned in this thread.

You have no idea how many hours are on it or how old it is.

My 2 cents...

Late to the party as usual, man your pics look like mine did when it let go and then I had to replace an engine.

Hard to see in pics but the impeller wheel is cracked in several spots. Backside, don’t have pic was grated not smooth either.

You may be lucky to have the bearings but I’ll tell you from experience you’re better pulling and inspecting flushing engine and not just putting a new charger on. I had a piece of the shaved impeller wheel stuck in the broken timing chain. Wish I had pics of the engine tear down from mechanic who worked on.

Well, I also found another thing. It’s the rubber booth around the shaft right after the motor. I guess I’ll have to pull it out and see what’s missing. See picture
