Speedster thoughts?

I am looking at picking up an older speedster, 95-97. Right now I have found a 95 for $1150. Seats are very good, hulls good and clean etc. One engine is in great shape with good even compression, other needs top end work. Not worried about this as I have rebuild a few seadoo engines. Everything else is known to work.

I have a couple jet ski's now but wanted to try the jet boat world.

Question is, my main focus is playing on the water and pulling tubes. Is the 95 speedster a good boat for this? I have read many mixed reviews around the web so wanted to ask for myself.

Thoughts and thanks,
Pete

in my opinion it's great for that. That's what I use mine for.

But it's not a big boat! It's not the take 6 people on the lake for the weekend choice. 4 people and tubing or just playing like it was a ski - great choice.

That's not a bad price/buy either in my opinion.

Thanks so much. Def not planning to use it as a big cruising weekend boat. Really looking to use it like a jetski in a sense. Hop in, cruise the lake hit some wakes, spin, be fast and powerful enough to be fun. Get some kids on the tube and put a few people in the boat. Was thinking a speedster for the extra power compared to the older challenger single motor?
Only downfall is I like the seating in the 97 speedster better with the spotters chair...guess I shouldn't worry about that.
