Speedo problem on 01 GTX

The speedo is is erratic..... Works fine at first the just stops or just halfway.
Also the digital speed is not matching the analog. i.e., 60 mph on analog 28mph digital. Any ideas? Probably a short, maybe?

It sounds like short. Follow the wires to the mpem from the sender if you can.
