Hey guys!!! im a newbie to here and jet skiing as a whole.

I have just purchased a Seadoo 2000 GFX and it runs great (after putting a new battery, starter motor in) but the only thing is that the MPH does go round.

I was taking out the battery today and changing some fuses and if your on the right side of the, the side where the battery is there is a wire that is not connected to anything. I followed the wire down to the hull and the end of it goes out a hole in the rear hull, possibly to the paddle wheel??

The bare wires are blue, purple and black.

Can anyone advise me if this is for the mph and also how and where to reconnect it??

Stuart:) Thanks!!!!

Stuart, yes that is the pick up from the paddle wheel and the wires will rin up o the main harness, look for the plug laying free in the hull just in front of the battery or follow the harness from the steering system back to the back...

hi, thanks for the reply:) what does the plug look like? is it black and has a small strip of metal holding it in place??
