Speed Sensor assembly

The speed sensor assembly on my boat was broken when I got it. The wires were broken by the previous owner. Using the parts link here, I figured out what part it is. The price listed on that link is 0, so I am guessing they do not have it available. I found one on ebay that ends today for 30 bucks. Problem is, I dont know if they are all universal. Anybody know if this will work?

Did you ever fix the speedometer on your Speedster? I have the same boat with the same problem and it bugs me that it's broken. Any suggestions?

There are basically 2 different sensors. One with 2 wires and one with 3. Pretty much any 2 wire sensor will work.

I must have been confused when I responded to you regarding the speedometer. It's actually the fuel gauge that is broken. Any suggestions on fixing it?

Usually it's the float, which is located in the fuel baffle. Get the new molded type. It's inside part no. 6.
