I disconnect my Speed Limit Sensor from my Seadoo Jet Boat Speedster 1997, because doesn,t work. Can I use that until a get the money to buy a MPEM ($900.)? What Would be the Risk?????????

Speed Limiter Sensor is an additional wire that come from the MPEM and is connected to the ignition coil. That sensor protect the engine to make more revolution than 7,000 RPM (Default RPM). With the Limiter Sensor connected, the engine doesn, t get more than 4,000 RPM, but if I disconnect the sensor the engine run perfectly. The question is, Can I use that engine without that sensor. "I have a Switch connected to the ignition coil to shut down the engine if something bad happened"
