This is my first post and I'm sure I'm beating a dead horse with it, but I pulled the RAVE valve apart on my 97 XP, and one of the valves had the vertical spring missing. I was curious if this could lead to anything damaging or would it just be a loss in power. I just got the ski last year and was unaware that it was missing until now but didn't seem to lose a whole lot of power. I'm not sure if I would have noticed it since the carbs were pretty gummed up amongst other things (another story) until just now as I have pulled most of it apart to refurb the ski. So main question is what will that affect, and besides buying online has anyone had any luck with Lowe's or stores of that nature locally? I was also going to try to pull one off the skidoo for a temp fix since shes obviously stored for now. Thanks for any input.

Also, if this is too repetitive a link to similar thread with this info would be nice... I'm no ace at searching this forum just yet.

probubly wont cause any real damage but you should get it fixed!!! The spring is necessary for the rave opening at just the right time and without it you will not get the full rpm's out of your ski which should be about 7k .... springs are cheap so i would just order one offline so you know you are getting the right one.... by the way WELCOME

Thanks for the info and welcome. Good call on getting one online just figured I'd make sure there wasn't any more potential damage before I get it on the water.. Hopefully soon
