Just did a complete overhaul on this ski. Put in a new long block from SBT, pulled the petcock out and cleaned, pulled the baffle out and cleaned, new fuel lines, carbs rebuilt and a new diaphram. As recommended by SBT, still running the premix in the tank, and also my injector still hooked up. I reduced the premix as stated by SBT to allow for injector, but I think my injector is putting in too much oil, because not running right, and when pulled out of water on saturday, and ran to blow water out, getting a sludge like substance coming out the exhaust, a lot of oil. My question, not sure how to adjust the injector, the stock setting, and should I back it off some while running premix then back to original setting. Any help on how to adjust this would be great.

There is an alignment mark on the side of the pump that doesn't move, you line up the front of the pump cam to that mark with NO throttle input (like idle). You can adjust the cable by loosening the jam nuts and moving the cable as needed. I would not at all adjust the pump to put less oil in for any reason. If you forget at all, you will be redoing another motor.

How many tanks of gas like this have you done? What oil ratio are you running from SBT? You really only need about 1 good tank of break in where you vary the rpm range. After you can still run a little mix for added peace of mind but nothing like a break in period. Maybe say 100:1 or even higher like 150:1.

Actually I am still on my first tank, just cannot get the thing running right, LOL. Everything is practically new, so not much else that can be wrong at this point, but was just sketchy about adjusting this injector. I am running 2.5 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas premix from SBT recommendations, and I think my injector pump is putting a little extra in, think that needs adjusted back to put the correct amount in, and after this tank was going to run 50:1 premix with the injector to have oil in the engine, but you say maybe 100:1 is fine. My thoughts with 50:1 with injector is even if the injector goes bad, 50:1 is still enough oil to not roach the motor.

Maybe an hour of total time tops, since made trip to the lake, did put around, thought was fuel problems wouldn't take full throttle, which I am sure was some, either vent or petcock issues, fixed those, haven't had it back to lake yet though, just because I want to fix this oil issue too so day won't be wasted, but may take one of my extra skis so day won't be wasted anyway.
