Hi, guys was out ridding my 1995 GTX Mon 9/8 on the Barnigate bay. As i was crossing the bay the ski just died,no warning just shut down. I change the rectifier last season replaced the fuses and tested the stator 14.3 to 14.5
When i hit the start stop button nothing no light nothing. I'm assuming that the fuses blew but something is making then quit. I can't seem to find the voltage regulator.

Due the fuses just blow out somtime from use, i did use the ski every day when it was nice out. Any ideas will help

Thanks Tom

Do you have a seadoo shop manual? If not here’s an idea for you. You could join as a "premium member". As a premium member you can down load a authentic seadoo manual from the seadoo manual library. In the library is a variety of manuals for almost all years and models. You can view as many as you like on line as a PDF file, or download it and print it for your personal and private use. There are operator manuals and repair manuals for you to do your own repairs on your seadoo. The repair manuals have everything from troubleshooting, repair procedures to winterizing. It contains wire diagrams torque specs and pictures for disassemble and assemble instructions. In the spec sheets it tells everything needed to maintain oil changes, spark plug gaps, carburetor rebuilds and impeller wear ring tolerances. Click on the "Seadoo Manuals" link at the top of the page for more details. If you need any help or get in a jam, we are always here to answer your questions too. Premium members get priority when it comes to getting quick detailed answers.

Fuses

Can someone tell me what would cause a 5A fuse to blow. 15A is fine and the manual states that the 15A is the charging system.

PS i thought this is were you post trouble shooting questions?

Thanks Tom

no warning, chief..happened to my boat, rip'n around, then stopped to fish, then rehit button..NOTHING..
Unplug the yellow wires and red wire from rectifier, then install another fuse, if she pops instantly, when depress'n start button, then contact ..allthingscustom...on this site, or "mpem repair" on ebay. He's out of AZ...

I forgot to mention that the battery light is on, but it's been that way for sometime now. Also i put the 5A fuse in and the ski runs fine. It's also charging within range. Is it possible that the fuse just quit.

Thanks Tom

or possible, that you have shavings down inside the flywheel assy, and one just happened to visit the stator assy, caus'n it to ground out.
Go thru all connections, grounds, clean up anything or replace it corroded/burnt, see what happens...

Thanks, Timmy for the help. I'll check all connections and let you know how things work out.
