I have a 2018 SeaDoo GTI 155. I have posted in the past about the ski. I had the pump rebuilt (by a certified SeaDoo Shop). Which did a bad job and almost sunk the ski. No water in engine, just a wet engine bay. All good now. However, while the ski was at the shop all winter it was outside. South Carolina, so temps were chilly, but a couple weeks at 20 degree temps. Of course, the new battery was dead and had to be replaced. I had ridden the ski about 20 minutes after pump rebuild and it felt good. Smooth and quiet. Spark plugs and oil were also changed at the same time.
Today, was the first day in the water since October. The ski sat with almost no gas in it (indicator was blinking one bar) all winter. I filled it up and took it out on the lake. It fired right up. It just felt and sounded a little rough. However, it accelerated and ran perfectly. I let my wife drive it and she said "It feels a little rough". Once you get it about 15-20mph, it smooths out and hits 58mph like nothing. When I slowed back down to idle it just felt a little rough again. So... I took it out and thrashed on it a bit. Boy did it run great!! I don't feel like it was as rough when I brought it back. Could it be that bit of old gas mixed in with 12 gallons of new? Did it just need to be run? Should I just shut up and ride it? Or... should I check anything to make sure all is good (coils, etc). The machine has 123 hrs on it.
Thanks!
