The VIN No of my jetski is: ZZN86590E595
I bought it as Hull only with nothing in it except the VTS motor. Any idea what engine is supposed to be fitted in it anyone?
Are all skis around the 1995 era fitted with the same dimension pump?
Will a 787 pump fit on a 720 engined hull etc...

You really can't tell from vin... All you can tell from that is that it's a year 95 ski. Post a pic and I can tell you right away. It could be any of three engines. A 587 , a 717or a 787.

unless it's a 95 XP 800, which I don't think any were exported originally to the UK since only 500 were made, it doesn't have the 787 motor. if you don't know the model(xp, sp, gtx, etc), all you have to do it tell us what colors it is and we can tell exactly what it is and the engine that should be in it. engines size could also be a 657 added to the list above.

the 720 and 787 use the same pump as well as all models older than 98. the 951 engines had the larger pump.

There was wayy more than 500 1995 xp800s produced. Maybe only 500 with the 787x but way more than that are out there.

The 95 XP800 only had the 787X engine and was limited production. The 96 XP has the 787 and there were millions made(figuratively, of course). The 95 was a little different in appearance such as the small hood and slightly different graphics but both all yellow with ugly pink graphics.

I know the difference in the 95xp800 and what I have the 96 xp. If there was only 500 released half of those came to GA and sold on craigslist last summer haha

Show some supporting evidence. The link above supports what I've said and what I've always believed but could be wrong.

They may have made more than 500 but it was still limited production as I understand but not many more. I think the RXX also only 500 were made.

Now the RXX is a different story, I've only seen a few of those and only 1 pop up for sale in GA. I believe only 500 of those were put out and over half of those blew after 20 or so hours and have probably been scrapped.

I'm going to make one comment and then let's get this thread back on track. If y'all want to continue the conversation let's start another thread. I believe there were only 500 95XP 800's produced with the 787x motor, only SeaDoo knows how many were produced with the 787 motor. I believe this just because of the number that have survived. Mine has the 787 but it also has a SBT rebuild.

Now lets get back on track.

Lou

Sorry about that Lou! I did kind of derail this thread, I apologize. OP follow that link and find the picture of your Seadoo and let us know which one you have

The original colour was Yellow. It may have been an XP but I'm not sure. It has all been cut up and inserted into the hull of my speed boat as a project.
Thanks for any help.

Edit*** solid yellow? Or white on the top half and yellow on the bottom?

Yeah its a 720.

And for the 95 800s....yes they built 500 with the 787x motor to make it race legal in the stock 1200 class.

Someone thought the proper number was around 2000, I dont know if that total, or 2500 with the 787x ones in there...
