Seadoo Sportster Fuel Gauge

2005 Seadoo Sportster, currently trying to figure out an issue with the fuel gauge. Gauge does work but reads incorrectly; 1/4 tank displayed = empty in reality, 3/4 tank displayed = half tank in reality. Would this be an issue with the gauge itself, the fuel float, or something else entirely ?

Interested in this as well mine is empty at 1/2 and full at full wondering if the float inside is bent? I plan to pull my pump soon and will sweep the sensor top to bottom to see if I can make gauge full sweep as well
