I have a 96 Seadoo SPI and have had loads of fun with it this summer so far. But the other day I was in desperate need of some Gasoline so I decided to siphon the gas out until I got ready to ride again. So today I filled it up and headed to the lake. Started out fine, got it planing then it just died and bogged down. I figured it may have hit a air spot in the gas line and ran out so I cranked it back up and let it run for a few seconds to be sure it was getting plenty of fuel. Tried to take off again and it did the same thing and seemed to get worse the more I pushed it, finally had to idle it back to the dock. So I changed the plugs, replaced the grey fuel lines to the black ones and cleaned the fuel filter and it is still doing the same thing.

I am worried when I siphoned gas from it I could of damaged the fuel sender in the tank with the hose or possibly got some trash in it but the fuel filter wasn't clogged at all.

I'm guessing the carb is stopped up but wanted to be sure that there isn't anything in the tank I may have damaged.

Just take your time clean internal filter of carb. I use new diaphrams and inlet needel and reuse old spring. take it all apart and clean and use compressed air to blow it out and put it back to gether the way you found it and you should be ok.

while i was removing the air box i noticed there is somthing that looks like a valve where my oil line comes in and a valve that looks like it should have some sort of cable attached but there is no cable attached.

filters in the carb were rather nasty so cleaned them out good also fixed the throttle cable not being attached to the oil injecter valve. Gonna give it a test tommorow and see how it does :willy_nilly:
