Changed the 3 universal joints in the rear driveshaft of my Ram 2500, used spicer U joints at 60.00 a piece? Dodge wanted 186.00 a piece for the OEM ones.
Correction, looking at my notes now, quote for parts only from dodge was 181.00 for the u joint in the front driveshaft, wait for it, wait for it....... wait for it... 272.00 each for the 3 u joints in the rear driveshaft
This is my HX loaded onto Arik’s truck this morning. The HX was my first foray into working on seadoo’s I was so excited when I purchased this HX years ago, I got it non running with no DESS key and got it extremely lucky that all it really needed was a fuel system refresh, new lines, carb rebuild, fuel selector, etc. And a bed plate bolt re installed. But after getting it running and driving it, I realized that it wasn’t for me. Maybe on a lake instead of the St. Lawrence river or maybe if I had one of these 30 years ago I would have enjoyed it more? But I guess the X4 hull is playful enough for me at this point in my life. Arik got a new decal package that I had purchased and never installed in it, he just needs to find a few pieces we got it now ( knee pads, under seat piece, fuel tower cover, pto cover and it will be complete. I’m hoping he gets much enjoyment from it
I seen this Denso starter on Marketplace last week listed for 50.00, advertised for 92 to 94 Seadoo so that must be for a 587 engine I’m thinking? I had a job in Brockville that put me 8 minutes from the sellers location so I messaged and got it for 30.00 CDN.
I seen this listed on Marketplace last week, can’t remember how far it was from me, I’m pretty sure it was in Russell which is about 45 minutes from me. I’ve never owned a Polaris watercraft nor am I looking to, but the ad said everything was there and it had just been sitting for years in their back yard so they wanted it take away. I’m quickly realizing that there’s only going to be a limited amount of time for projects so I really don’t need another unfinished project sitting around but it’s hard to pass up free. I see that I started my 1998 Challenger project t thread in 2023 and I still haven’t found time to really get started at it soooo…
