Seadoo not reaching top speed.

I have a 2003 seadoo gtx di and it will only go about 43mph. It has a newly rebuilt motor and brand new impeller and wear ring. I feel like it should go faster than that. Any suggestions?

I don't know much about the speedometers on individual skis. I tried the GPS on the mobile phone recently. recently worked on a 2003. I did some work on a 2003 GTI LE RFI (787 Engine 110hp) . On the GPS top speed in calm water was 47mph. Sure ran great though. Very smooth.

My wifes 1997 GTX indicates 52 on her speedometer.
What RPM are you getting to on the tach??

How fast are you going? GPS or Speedo? What are your RPMs?
Did you you change anything else other than the engine?
