Seadoo dealership doesn't work on skis over 10 yrs old?

So I have had this problem with my ski and I'm to the point of letting a seadoo mechanic look over it. I called today and try said they don't work on anything over 10 yrs old. Never really got a answer why from the person I was talking to. Anybody had a experience with this? Just wondering, thanks.

do you have any prior mechanical experience? there is enough expertise on this forum to talk you thru about anything within your capability level. If you want to try that route, start a thread in the technical section with your symptoms but first take that silly ass hat off your head. :)

A lot of them wont work on older stuff. Its hard to get a lot of parts, so they just wont deal with it. There is tons of info and everything you could need to know on here though. With a shop manual and some help, and a little bit of mechanical ability, anything can be fixed.

I have the ability to rebuild the boat, it's not that I just don't have the time between working full time, going to school full time and chasing women full time haha. I was just wondering why.

 My wife said if you continue to wear that hat you should change the color of the shirt, she's about ready to call the fashion police.

LOL! Lou, Alcohol was involved in that picture. I don't even know who's hat that was, just a random pic that was on my camera the next day. And grizz I called them so no I didn't go in looking that, although it would be interesting... Maybe next time.

google other places nearby that work on jet skis but aren't dealerships. Check other PWC sites as well for mechanics who work on multiple brands of skis.
