That must come with a captain's hat!

That is really cool! Just imagine having to varnish that thing!!

---------------it seems to me that you are going to have to maintain anything you buy, wether a car, motorcycle etc... i have had stern drive boats before, and had to do what i needed to maintain it, (change oil, plugs, drive gear oil, have props resurfaced and balanced) I have only had this seadoo now for about 2 months bought used with 35 hours on it, so I changed oil, filter, and plugs, pulled the charger myself and only replaced the washers for now with riva's, and will pull the charger before next season to do a full rebuild to 08' specs, I shouldn't have to mess with the charger for the rest of this season, I will replace the oil again this season when I put about 15 more hours on it from the washer change, and hopefully that will be it for the rest of this season, I think that is not too much to do for maintenance to have that charger in there. maybe i dont know being a rookie at this jet boating, but i think that should be enough maintenance for this season, and if a full rebuild is done before next season then that should be it to do with charger for next season, maybe the idea is to change oil a couple of times throughout the season to keep that charger feeling good

im with mike on this one. i have no complaints with my SC, and knowing that it takes a little more maintenance doesnt fear me one bit. now if i was a person who was terrified to even open the engine hatch to possibly get my hands dirty and learn a thing or two then i would say stay with a 155hp. but some of us want as much power as we can get. that little bit more maintenece thats required may be the difference between pulling a 200lb person out of the water on a board and telling them they need ultra slimfast. and besides that i like just telling people its supercharged.

but really craig i think you should buy the sea ray or what ever other outdrive boat you post on here next. cuz you sound pretty confused on what kind of boat you realy want and that way you can take the picture of the 180s interior off your avatar and post a big ol picture of the first prop that you mangle up.

i wish all the 180s came with the supercharged engine. then there would be no option for people and they would either want it or not. then everyone with one could feel the power. :)

53 gps mph wfo, but it got there alot quicker than the 215 i raced several times over..............the hole shot was almost twice as fast in the first 100 feet if it didn't cavitate.........

Bucky,

Did ya ever get that twin engine old man boat? If so, what did you get? If not, what are you seeing out there?:hat:
