Is there a big difference in which battery you put in? I have a 94XP and a 98 GSX Ltd. The manual says to use a 19AH battery. Would it make a difference to use an 18AH battery?

No, not really. If there was a significant difference in amps, then you may not want to do it, but that's not really a big difference.

Do the cranking amps matter. The battery I bought is the 18AH at West Marine. The manual says 19AH. I really don't understand the difference.
