after full engine rebuild, new carb kit and rectifier fitted im still having problems starting it up in the water, looks like I am getting water in the cylinders as sometimes the plugs look grey or could it be oil ? all gaskets have been renewed at the time of rebuild. it seems to run fine while on the trailer with the hose pipe connected but as soon as I drop it in the water it cuts out. i can start it if I tip the ski over towards the exhaust, do you think I could have a crack in the head or the barrels or is the exhaust at fault, it takes about 10 seconds to start when its on its side, seems like once it has cleared then I have jump on it as its running, once on it it will rev right through, but coming to a stop it cuts out again but it will tick over with the hosepipe on, I know it flushes the wrong way to when its in the water. didnt see any signs of cracks in the head or the barrels when it was stripped down, the only thing i am going to do next is take the inlet pipe off and try to start it in the water, dont know if it is water but if it is ,how can it get into plugs has any body ever had the same problem, will let you know how i get on tommorow , my head is about to expolde please help
