The ski runs good until hot, (I don't let it get to hot). Engine pistons ok, fuel system revamped, carbs rebuilt, lines changed, valve checked etc. I feel the problem is in the oil or water system. I just found the oil lines are reversed going to the rotary chamber. (This is the correct set-up: bottom of the oil tank to the port side of the engine. The return (vent) is on the bottom of the starboard side, under the carbs and that hose re-attaches to the top of the oil tank, where the vent is.) Could this cause my problem? Also how can the water passage system be checked without disassembly?

Most blow the water lines out with air. I would try to remove the two ends and connect a garden hose and see if it flows smoothly.

wrong. the vent side of the oil tank goes to the port side, the bottom main feed line goes to the starboard side. you need this corrected. im not sure if that will cause the problem but its def wrong

CR is correct. your oil line description is backwards. If all the above does not help, then you can remove the block drain line back where it exits at the exhaust bulkhead. Then blow into it. If it is clogged, you have sand in the bottom of your water jackets in the motor. This will make it hot.

Yea, I had some blockage, I blew out ALL the cooling lines, and then I even hooked up a shop vac to the pump exit (on my HX, it is where I screw the hose on to flush)..I don't know exactly where the clog was, but it works like a million bucks now!

OK, I'll reconnect oil lines, I had just changed them from correct . I'm not sure which is the block drain line. Today I put the ski in water, disconnected the water line from the engine, coming from the jet pump, with the motor running I had very little water coming out & no pee stream wh. Could the wear rig cause this? Also it runs good on trailer with a hose hookup, I can rev it up in the water it boogs.

OK, I had this problem before I changed it yesterday due to an artical I read (yea). I checked the water coming from the jet pump today (in the water), with the engine running idle it had very little flow with it connected to engine & reved no pee stream. Will the wear ring cause this? I checked the line from the jet pump it was clear. thank's

confirm your pee hole isn't just plugged with sand with a small piece of wire.
remove and disassemble the water control valve on the muffler (the thing that looks like a RAVE), it has a needle valve in the bottom that could also be plugged with sand and block the flow of water to the tuned pipe
