How much are these Optimate 6ers. are the other models still available or once they upgrade they are gone after they sell out?
I've never seen one around me.

Thinking about getting storage covers, but what is the deal with the wcss ones? Are they any good? Also I have a touring seat on my gtx but don't see one listed to fit with the touring seat.

They usually fit that seat no prob. I would recommend a jettribe over a black tip cover...but to each his own.

On the Optimate...Im pretty sure 4,5,6 are all still available. I know the 4 is typically around $70.

Yeah I bought the Optimate 4 after you were talking about it a few months ago. I keep that baby busy, there is always somewhere around here that needs it's help. So far so good but I figured that.

Looks like I won't be buying anything from them. That isn't that great of a deal, not good enough to make me spend a bunch of $$'s.

A Poppy cover is probably better. poppycover.com Tell Terri you are a member of SDF and some some $ off. They run about $100-$115.00 for a ski. See my profile pic (not the avator) on my green GTX.

Not sure if their 30% is over with...but I bought a few on their last sale and they are sooo nice. So are their covers...lol

i found mine on amazon, and i'm glad i bought it, it has saved two batteries already that I would have just thrown away after my tender Jr said they were dead, it paid for itself the first week.

I wasnt kidding when I started posting about these things huh?? They are supposedly water resistant too just in case you leave it in the rain.

how are those covers with towing? Just look like it has the "exhaust" type holes. I know ones that don't billow like a mofo.

The jettribe have two straps that go under and two on the back. I only towed them to storage but it doesnt seem air gets into them.

They're outta stock for the XP anyways.......not that it matters mine's in 100 pieces right now. HAH! Guess I'll wait for the next sale.

Strizzo I have Basically the Same Ski as you. I actually looked in your thread about doing the heat gun trick. Seen your grand touring seat. Thought about ordering it for 50% off, however I just went with the standard custom teal and purple seat.

As for te WCSS cover , I own one. I have yet to get any water in my craft even through Hurricane Sandy. It disperses water very well. And the water beads literally sit on the cover without seeping trough. I'd say its te Best Bang for your buck. I got mine fore $109.95 plus like $15 shipping. So id say go for it. I am ordering another tonight for my project Gts. $70 + Free Shipping ? That's a big difference from normal price.

speaking of maintainers, DO NOT buy one of these POS's I bought three of them a few years ago & put them on a few toys I have. Come spring time, all three had the trouble light blinking on them. They boiled the batteries away to nothing. I was not happy. They might be ok for the short term, but they are not good for long term use. Model # SEM-1562A

good thing you went with the flat seat cover, you'd need different foam for the touring seat to work. they are supposed to be pretty rare, but like most things rare seadoo, i've seen a lot of them around. i'm glad i did get a ski with the touring seat though, it is very comfy, like one of those harley wide-butt seats.

that looks like the one i have, mine has been working good for around 2 yrs, i use on ski, riding mower, and 4 wheeler, never had a problem, i keep it plugged in all the time, but, we use ski, mower, and 4 wheeler alot, mine, only charges when needed, and the max it charges is 1.5 amps, so thats not much.. im not sure of the model number, but if goes bad, i will probably get another .. they only 20.00

I still have all three of them, I suppose cause they will still charge a battery in a pinch. Spent nearly $90.00 on the chargers, & then another $120 or so on new batteries in spring. Poor choice on my part. I recently looked into it further & put one of these on a charged battery, along with my multimeter. The lights on the charger showed it was charged as I expected, but I watched the voltage reading on my meter creep up over 16V & stayed there. :toetap05: I am sure after 6 months of this, it was a slow agonizing death to the batteries.
I have two more of this style, that work fantastic, but they are a different mfg, just look similar. they will charge to 13ish & literally stop charging until it gets below 12V I'll post the info on those when I get back out in the shop.

Right about now I am real pissed considering I planned on coming home after working a lot of OT and order another seadoo cover onl to be surprised that the covers for my ski are no longer there. They were on here hours earlier, but I could not purchase while at work. Now I am stuck with not getting a cover and I refuse to buy a Unniversal Cover :rant::rant:
