My RXP 255 seems to start and run fine up to mid to high RPM. There is no top end. It will occasionally kick in for a brief moment but its just not getting full rpm. where to start? the gas might be 1+ year old. could that be it?

Yes, bad gas can cause that. Your machine makes 255 HP with 91 Octane fuel. Less octane, you get knock and the ECU pulls the timing back. When that happens, you are not making 255HP.

when you leave your seadoo stationary for a long time, choose to use the MOTUL STABILIZER, it helps to keep the gasoline in its original state for much longer, however, remember to make it work correctly, you must add it in 15 or 20 liters and run the engine for about 3 to 5 minutes until the gasoline with the additive also penetrates the fuel line, this will save you a lot of trouble.

Use for any engine that has been idle for more than 3 months.
