runs with one but not with two

1 just bought a 1996 gts with only about 30 hrs run time on it. i checked everything out put it in the water and it ran fine with my 150lbs on it . iput my 100lbs wife on with me and it would barely run un less i stood on the front an drove it can anyune help

does the engine sound like it is rev'ing up but just will not go anywhere? or hardly moves/hard to get going?

hardly moves

it hardly moves and then dies or barely runs like it is flooding

I too am curios. My 96 GSX runs fine with just me on it. I put the wife who weighed 100 pounds when she was maybee 13, and it did not want to plane. Engine did rev up just didnt go.

Yours sounds like a cavitation problem, check you wear ring and impeller for damage!

Yes it seemed like cavitation when I had all the weight on it. Is it possible to replace wear ring without specialty tools?
