Basically boat runs fine at high speed, but once it has been running for a bit and you come back to below 3000 RPMs it starts to misfire and almost dies...If I turn the boat off for a bit and start it then goto above 3000 rpms then it works fine again...Any ideas? Coils maybe?

Its an Opti-Max 200 HP

Thx

Eric

Temp sensor...

Sounds like maybe the temp sensor is bad. The engine uses the temperature sensor to adjust the fuel. When it senses the water is cold, it enriches the fuel mixture. When the engine heats up, it leans it out.

You can test this switch with a continuity meter and a pot of boiling water.
