Hey,
having the common surge/rpm fluctuations. My motor is a 155n/a with no check engine lights. There's a thread not too long ago another member started with this topic but no one has reported back with a fix. My rpm surge is mild and seems to clear up at higher rpm's, but is still annoying. Things I've done/replaced are oil, plugs, fuel injectors, new fuel, cleaned all connections & swapped the map sensor with another. (Map actually cleared up my idle as i had a lousy idle before). Ive done alot of searching and it looks like TPS is a likely culprit. Ive read other people saying to disconnect the tps connector and run it and if its better, replace tps . Can you run these motors with that disconnected??? Would it set off lights/codes? Last, if i determine that the tps is bad, can it just be swapped out or does it 'absolutely' need to reset by the dealer? thanks

You really need a Can Doo Pro so that you can read or "see" what is happening. For example, it will show live data on the TPS in regards to voltage It may be a bad IAC which will tell the RPMs to increase and decrease based on whats happening.
