RTV brands and types

Just doing some work on my 2015 RXP-X 260, there is a ton of black RTV... I was wondering if that is 3M 5200 or Permatex Ultra Black sealant. Is one better than the other or does SeaDoo use a different type.

I use permatex. If you do a clean...smooth...flush to the hull job...it'll last years before the water pressure pulls it out. I use two part marine epoxy when filling bolt holes.

Permatex black is good for everything. Oil or water.

If you must use an hydraulic jack hammer and dynamite to remove it, it might be 5200 PERMANENT adhesive. In other words, you can use 5200 if the assembly will never be taken apart ever again b/c this adhesive is stronger and tenacious to the point the parts will be ruined during disassembly.
