Hello all:

I'm experiencing an issue with the rpm's not going as high as they used to.

A week ago Sat. I was out and if I pinned the throttle it would jump to 7000 rpm's and reach 55 mph. If I let off on the throttle at all it would only go back up to 6500 rpm's and 48 mph. This weekend it would not reach 7000 rpm only 6500 no matter what I did to the throttle.

I've listed below everything that's been done in the last two weeks. If anyone has any idea as to the cause and correction I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks, Keith

Work list:
-Raves completely changed
-Every single electrical connection checked for being loose. Non found.
-All fuses checked
-Both electrical and computer boxes front and back, opened and checked for loose connections or corrosion. Non found.
-Carbs partially taken apart to check small fuel filters. Nothing found, clean as a whistle. Have hose and clamps and will change all grey lines.
-Changed spark plugs. Noticed one had a very loose top.

Check the fuel selector valve for clogging. If it runs better in Reserve, then you know it is a selector issue.

Also check valves on the fuel tank vent loop could be defective. Test to make sure they work one direction only.
