Rocker switches and other items in discussion on 2007 Islandia

Hello all. I just checked the OTRATTW website for new rocker switches. After looking through the 12 pages of the ones that will work, I believe I want the basic black and use vinyl stickers from Dr. Honda. However, they are out of stock!! Speaking of switches, The owners manual shows different switches than what I have. In other words, I do not have a battery warning switch. Port switches are horn, bilge, and bilge fan. I don't hear anything when the bilge pump is turned on. Should I? But I surely hear something when the fan is on. Starboard top switches are radio, deck lights, and nav/anc lights. Starboard bottom are water pump, fountain, eng compartment light, boarding lights, and docking lights. I need to double check the eng. compartment light. Not sure about that one. Didn't look for one yet. The rubber on the switches is running off and just nasty. When I check the water pump, I found the filter line off the pump and the 90 degree elbow off the pump. No idea why. I reattached them, but still will not work. The fuse is good. I believe the pump is just burned up or something. I will order the one Dr. Honda recommended in this forum soon and figure out how to get my butt in the far back of the engine compartment!! The fountain works fine if I add the water from another source. Great boat. Still need more practice docking!!

Before spending the $$$ on new switches... are yours burnt out? If they are functioning... and you just want to do a clean-up... you can buy just the covers (rockers) and use my stickers. OR... better yet... just wipe yours with a little alcohol, and put on my stickers.


On the manual... do you have the proper owner's manual? I know there was a change in 2002... but for that year, they used the 2001 manual. But, in reality... the 2002 is closer to the 2003. So... even if you have a 2007 owners manual... you may want to look at the 2008 to see if it's correct.

FYI... you can down load the owner's manuals directly from Seadoo's website.

Thanks!! Not sure if the switch for the water pump is out or not. I doubt it. So I might try and clean them first and see where that takes me!! How do they come off? Do I just pull on them? I do not want to brake them!! Yes, I would like a set of your decals. I do have an engine compartment light, so no battery alert switch. I will check the 08 and 09 manuals and see what they say.

Sorry to leave you hanging. I don't come into the 4-tec section much.

The switches should just come apart. I know I kept a burnt up one... so I will go look it over, and let you know... but as I recall, I just put a thin screwdriver in on the side tab... and with a little pressure, the rocker came off.


The stickers are easy....

I have a few sets sitting in the shop, and ready to go. They are $5, plus shipping. In the USA... that's a 1st class stamp. Down to OZ... it depends on how fast you want them to arrive. Mtitus: Shoot me a PM, and we can talk about the shipping.

This is just so others can see the stickers too. This is a before an after on my boat. They aren't perfect... but $5 beats the heck out of $40 each for the factory switches. (lol )

As you can see... the icons on my switches were completely faded.
