Replacement gas can spout

I got one of those old 5 gallon metal gas cans out in the shed. Looks like I might want to start thinking about auctioning that off to the highest bidder.

I have found a product that is a universal fit for most all gas cans...5 gallon sizes, etc. www.ezpourspout.com Just bought 4 of their kits and I was able to replace those horrible CARB spouts on my Blitz and Gott cans with this EZPOUR spout replacement kit. FINALLY! somebody with some brains out there! GO EZPOUR!

Can anyone recommend a replacement spout for 5 gallon plastic-ish gas cans?

The eco friendly ones are absolutely ridiculous. I'm searching on Google and I will report back if I find one. I know that the new cans aren't vented so you can't use a direct-pour type spout, but there has to be SOMETHING that has a higher flow rate and isn't as stupid as the ones that the cans come with.[/QUOTE]

Guys, Guys, Guys....The EZPOUR Spout has a universal base that fits every can on the market except for the Chilton cans. These spouts remind me of the spouts we used to have when we were kids cutting all the neighbors lawns for 5 dollars a lawn! The good old days. I found these at Rural King here in St. Louis, but you can buy them online at www.ezpourspout.com

Hummmmmm.

I'm torn on this one. This guys joined just to spam his product. BUT... it's directly associated with an old thread. I guess I'll leave it. (looks interesting)

I believe the problem in not with the spout, the problem is the new cans are no longer vented. I don't carry extra gas for the ski's but the gas I keep in the shed for the lawn equipment etc. I just drill a small hole in the top of the can with a sheet metal screw, then I just remove the when I pour the gas.

I did that to a diesel jug... but then the "Evo-flow" spout leaked all over the place. It seems like the new trigger valve cans need the slight internal vacuum to keep the seals from leaking.
