Removal of gas tank

Hi, I have a '96 GSX Sea Doo & need to clean out my gas tank. Is removing the engine the only way to remove gas tank?

Yes.

I found this fascinating webpage on someone sectioning a GS class hull (GS/GSX). It really helps visualize the location of everything in the hull! And you can see why the tank just does not come out without removing either the engine......or the top half of the hull.:rofl:

maybe i will cut my speedster up and put the motors in my hatteras...

It might be easier to just cut the seadoo in 1/2 front to back...instead top to bottom...:ack: :rofl: Then just slide it out.
