regulator melt down

HELP
I have a 97 gsx. The vts was blown so i disconected it. I rebuilt the carbs. The info guage never worked. I ran it today and the regulator
on the mpm box burned up. The ski ran fine even after the burnup.
The yellow wires seem to go to the magneto. the black red ??????
