Recovering seats

Would anyone have a pattern/template for the seat covers on a 97 challenger? I saw a post some time ago where someone had created these. I direct messaged the OP but never got anything back. Just wondering if anyone ever laid hands on these? Can't do the $600+ for the kit

I have not, but when I ever find time to recover the seats in my challenger I’m going to take the old covers off and use them as a pattern

Yes, mine may do the same. Not nearly as complicated as the boat seats but when I was doing my XP with flat vinyl I wanted to use as little of the vinyl as possible so I made a template using roofing synthetic underlayment. Cut the underlayment, wrapped the seat, made adjustments and cut more off the template till I got it were I wanted it, then traced from the template onto my flat vinyl. One good thing, vinyl is cheap. Do you think the bottom portion of the main seat can be done with a single piece of flat vinyl or do you think you will need to sew a seam?

Should it be done as a continous piece...mmm probably to look factory. Can I do that with my current skill set. .. that's a negative. I don't have a sewing machine so I have been toying with the idea of using contact cement (I bought a type specifically for vinyl) to neatly glue seams. I doubt it will work, but I'm going to try it anyway. I like your idea for creating the templates. That's pretty slick
