Rear hatch problem...

I recently purchased a 2006 Speedster Wake and we took it in for the support beam to be put on the tower. After pulling the boat home we were looking through the boat to make sure everything was still in there when we noticed the rear hatch was sitting funny. For some reason it is not closing all the way on the drivers side and there is about a half an inch gap between the seal and the bottom. I took this back to the repair shop and two of the guys appeared to be dumbfounded.

Basically, have any of you had this type of problem before? We checked the pistons that are attached and even swapped them out. When we swapped them the drivers side was still elevated. However, when we took the piston off, the elevated side, it would seal fine.

Any ideas, experiences or suggestions?

Thanks!

I thought that too, but when we switched them out it worked fine on the other side. I also checked the model number on both pistons and they matched. What are the chances the hatch lid got warped?

That is weird, you said that when you took them off it laid flat? Right. Wow thats doen't make any sense? :willy_nilly:

Yeah it is weird. The dealership guys were baffled and are now waiting on a response from Seadoo that involved sending in pictures. We will see.

haha I was just seeing if anyone had this problem. I will update on what they conclude the problem to be. Just hope its not a warped lid.
