Nice, we never made it this week. I put a hitch on the wife's' van and was ready to go. Then we crunched the numbers, a two day one night trip was gonna cost me almost 4 bills on top of the $175 I just dropped on the hitch and wiring. Just couldn't justify the cabbage. Looks like a nice ride though. One day.

hey sabr, your vids are awesome, i was wondering what do you use to have the speedo in the corner? thx

This camera.

http://store.contour.com/ae/us/cameras/contour+2/invt/1701&bklist=icat,4,shop,products,cameras

this software.

http://www.dashware.net/

this software, also

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/movie-maker#t1=overview

This software also, because the video will get F'd up if you really give the camera a pounding

http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread...corrupted-MP4-files-from-a-GoPro.....for-free!

finally top it all off with some mp3 grabs from youtube

http://www.youtube-mp3.org/

so.... ALL that, and some 'Surf mounts' from eBay, and hours of film cut down to a few minutes, and you have a video.

I was SO pissed when the camera couldn't keep filming when I really abuse my XP, but I found that repair software, and it seems to work great. it recovers 99.6% of the video, but loses the GPS data...

I thought it was the camera, but apparently even gopros and stuff can't keep up.

after a whole weekend of filming, only 2 videos (of dozens) needed repaired... so it is a tough camera, just not 100% tough enough for my riding style.

Thanks for the feedback!

Amazing lake, by far my favorite place to boat.

You need to experience the coast, time to set your self free from being land locked. You have no idea what your missing. You ain't getting this in a lake! Nothing like mother natures waves.

Sabr, I have no idea how those mounts stay on. I'd love a pic on the front of your Doo showing the set-up. I can just
imagine the first time I tried this the camera would take a swim to the bottom.....

actually.. the mount held so well, it broke the 'lid' off my GSX!

I might take my red set down to the ocean some time, just kind of busy w/a new job this summer.

thanks for the info sabr, damn looks like a big ordeal for some vids, but they sure are saweet!!

thanks. Yea, it's a lot of cost and time, but it's neat.

the mount on my XP apparently didn't dry enough before I used it, so last night I pulled it off. New one comes Monday. You really have to let them dry 48 hours before sinking them :( whoops.

I'll see if I have any pics of the mounts on facebook. they are just big stickers. you'd think they wouldn't hold, but DAMN, you could hang the jet ski by these stickers. they also removed just fine w/ WD40 and a sock lol.

the mount actually broke off the lid to the GSX, 3 of 4 tabs broke :(

So, I used some epoxy on the underside, and just for good measure (because I'd planned to keep using the camera on this ski) ran 4 screws through the lid and into the plastic below! Now that lid ain't moving!
